Derek Raymond was one of London's finest crime novelists so it came as quite an honour to work with him and the members of Gallon Drunk on a dramatised reading from what many consider to be his best novel, 'I was Dora Suarez'. When shown at the BFI in London a fight broke out in the audience. Derek, aka Robin Cook, was a lovely man, and his beret still hangs above the bar at Nick's favourite London drinking spot, the French House.
